Western Oregon University welcomes Central Coordination of CCR&R to Teaching Research Institute
Teaching Research Institute’s Center on Inclusion is excited to be joining Oregon’s Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) system! We begin taking on Central Coordination for the statewide CCR&R system July 1st and will be transitioning through September 30th, at which point we expect to be fully operational.
You won’t see much immediate change from the outside but rest assured: We are moving ahead at full steam. In our first 30 days as Oregon’s CCR&R Central Coordination you will see our website and 800- number go live. We also expect to take over the processing of license-exempt home and relative care stipends, begin coordinating the food handlers’ website, and move the statewide resource and referral database to an updated format.
Thanks go out to Melissa Gritz, who is spearheading the Coordination; Tom Udell, who is providing oversight as the Center on Inclusion’s Coordinator; and Dr. Ella Taylor, TRI’s director. TRI would also like to thank our community partners and the entire transition team, including Helen Visarraga, Heidi McGowan, Jan Calvin, Kelli Walker, Lisa DeMoe, Rhonda Prodzinski, Pam Deardorff, Heather O’Leary, and many others.
